Editorial by Margarida Maia in the Hipoges 2025 Newsletter
In the editorial of the Hipoges Corporate Newsletter 1Q 2025, Maia reflects on the start of her new phase as General Manager, the challenges of the sector and the importance of teamwork to face the future.
“Taking on this new responsibility as General Manager of Hipoges is, without a doubt, the greatest challenges and proudest moment of my professional journey. In a constantly evolving environment, where economic cycles and market expectations shift rapidly, I am convinced that the best way forward is with determination, commitment, and a shared strategy.
After almost ten years at Hipoges, I have learned that our greatest strength lies in our people. Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece share more than the Hipoges Group name —they share a culture of excellence, innovation, and resilience. That culture is what has allowed us to stay strong in challenging times and adapt to new realities without losing sight of our values.
Looking ahead, the distressed asset sector in Iberia is entering a new stage of maturity. The volume of traditional NPLs has decreased significantly, but that does not mean the opportunities have disappeared. On the contrary, new spaces are emerging—such as Re-Performing Loans (RPLs), non-traditional assets, and innovative securitization models. Specialization, agility, and technology will be key to sustaining our growth in this new context.
We remain firmly committed to diversification—both in sectors and geographies—and to the continuous improvement of our processes. As we evolve, we must stay focused on what has brought us here: the trust of our clients, operational excellence, and our ability to anticipate change.
In my role, I want to walk with you on this journey of transformation and growth. I am convinced that the future will bring big challenges, but also many opportunities. And I know that, together, we will rise to them.
At Hipoges, the difference is made by each and every one of you. Thank you for your commitment, your energy, and for continuing to dream big.”
For Hipoges it is essential to continuously work on transversal communication both externally and internally, improving the development and interpersonal knowledge of the people who work in each of the departments and offices of Hipoges. That is why we deal in detail with the importance of information in all our communications, as well as this time in the editorial of the Hipoges Newsletter written in this 1Q 2025 by Margarida Maia.
If you think this is all, don’t miss the latest news about the company, the events in which Hipoges participates, new acquisitions, challenges, and much more.
