Last Friday, September 22nd, the company said goodbye to summer with the Hipoges Summer Party 2023, in Portugal. Over 250 people gathered to enjoy a day away from the office. Among the guests, there were colleagues from the Madrid and Athens offices as well as employees from the Porto and Lisbon offices.
The party took place at the Clássico by Olivier restaurant on S. João da Caparica beach – Lisbon. A spectacular place, on the beach with a stunning sea view. In addition to the “beach vibes” decor of the space, guests were also able to take a walk on the beach and dance in the sand.
Between the music from the resident DJ and the Quiz with questions about the company, there were also prizes for the winning team, as well as gifts for everyone present at the party. Networking between the teams and great fun were a constant.
For people who chose not to use their own transport, the company provided buses that departed from the offices in Lisbon and Porto, as well as buses to return home.
The agenda of the Summer Party 2023 was as follows:
- 9:30 – 11:00 Time to put up the decorations and get the party ready!
- 11:00 – 11:30 arrival of colleagues and invitees
- 12:00 – 12:30 welcome speech by our Manager Partner and CO-CEO Hugo Velez & celebration and prizes for colleagues celebrating 10 years at Hipoges, presented by Margarida Maia, Chief Services Officer
- 13:00 – 13:30 Quiz and gifts to the winning team
- 13:30 – 15:00 cocktail lunch
- 15:00 – 17:30 open bar and music by the DJ set
- 17:30 end of the party Summer Party 2023, departure of the buses to the Lisboa and Porto offices
Throughout the event, there were a lot of fun moments, that contributed to interdepartmental relations, increased collaboration between teams, as well as to the support of new incorporations, in a place away from the office.
In the welcome speech, our CO-CEO Hugo Velez, spoke highly of the company positioning in the market, as well as how well it is doing over the year 2023, so far. Hugo Velez mentioned that Hipoges is headed in the right direction to end the year with great success.
To complement Hugo Velez speech, there were two celebrations, for two colleagues, Ana Rute Dias and Andreia Cordeiro, that have been with Hipoges for 10 years. Margarida Maia, Chief Services Officer, congratulated both in achieving such mark in their careers. Ana Rute Dias and Andreia Cordeiro, received a small token of appreciation for their dedication to the company.
One of the highlights of the party was the Quiz, it was led by the three Operation Directors: Luís Silveira, Rute Ventura and Paula Santos. The host was Anabela Semedo – Director of Human Resources. Some of the questions were:
- How many collaborators at Hipoges? 1706
- What year did Hipoges open in Portugal? 2009
- What year was our CO-CEO Hugo Velez born? 1979
For the winning team there were prizes, a beach kit Hipoges Summer. The kit included a big beach bag, a thermo bag, beach tennis rackets, a small purse for your sunscreen, a reusable water bottle and sunglasses.
All good things must come to an end, after a day well spent at the beach with all colleagues gathered in the same space, the buses collected everyone and drove back to the Lisbon and Porto offices. There were some people that took advantage of the location – Costa de Caparica and stayed around the area to continue the celebrations.
This last week, there was a feedback form sent out to all that came to the Hipoges Summer Party Portugal 2023. The results will be shared, and the suggestions and comments will be all considered for future Hipoges events.
It is very satisfying for Hipoges to know that everyone had a great time and the opportunity to take part in such a special day!
